The municipal People's Committee has just released its plan to carry out the Primer Minister's instruction and the Government General Inspection's conclusion about the responsibility of the chairman of the People's Committee in the following matters: inspection, complaints and denouncement, meetings with citizens, bribery and corruption prevention during the 2011-2014 period.
According to the plan, the city's Inspection will co-operate with district 2, the Natural Resource and Environment Department, and the Education and Vocational Training Department to review the activities.

New road shortens Hung Yen-Ha Noi route
The northern province of Hung Yen has officially opened the interprovincial-road between Ha Noi and Hung Yen - including Bac Hung Hai bridge - at a cost of VND2.1 trillion (US$95 million).
The interprovincial road has a length of 40 km. It shortens the travel distance by 20 km from Ha Noi to Hung Yen. The road connects the southeastern area of Ha Noi and the northwestern area of Hung Yen.
The road will help to significantly reduce traffic congestion on National Highway No 5.

HCM City provides fresh water for Long An
The Sai Gon Water Supply Corporation (SAWACO) will provide 30,000 cubic metres of fresh water each day for Duc Hoa and Can Giuoc districts in the neighbouring province of Long An. SAWACO on Tuesday handed over 400mm pipeline system to the districts.
Water resources in these two districts, where many industrial parks and residential areas are located, have been affected by saline intrusion. As a result, local residents have to pay VND60, 000 (US$3) per litre of fresh water.

SBV to temporarily stop gold piece transfers
The State Bank of Viet Nam (SBV) said it would reject gold piece transfers from any commercial bank that violates regulations for at least three months.
For banks placed under special control, gold piece transfers will be carefully reviewed by SBV.
