Online social, health and unemployment insurance transactions have begun in HCM City. The city aims to have 90 per cent of online transactions for such services by the end of this year.
It also targets reducing the amount of time needed to conduct online transactions to 49.5 hours per year.

Quang Binh Province funds houses for poor
The People's Committee of the central province of Quang Binh on Wednesday allocated VND1.76 billion (US$80,000) to support poor households to build houses.
Bo Trach District was given the biggest support with VND840 million ($38,000) for 60 households. Fifty-seven households in Tuyen Hoa District and nine households in Quang Ninh District received VND798 million ($36,000) and VND122 million ($5,500), respectively.
This is the third time the province has supported poor households to build houses this year.

Phu Quy Island installs national flagpole
A national flagpole has been built on Phu Quy Island in the south- central province of Binh Thuan. A ceremony to kick off its unveiling was held on Wednesday by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Central Committee of the Viet Nam National Union of Students and the Binh Thuan Province Youth Union.
The 22.6m-tall flagpole has a 4x6m flag. It is built in an area with a view of the sea. It is one of seven sovereignty flagpoles under the project of building national flagpoles on outlying islands.
Other national flagpoles are expected to be built on Tran Island (Quang Ninh Province), Bach Long Vy Island (Hai Phong City), Hon La Island (Quang Binh Province), Cu Lao Xanh Island (Binh Dinh Province), Con Son Island (Ba Ria- Vung Tau Province) and Tho Chu Island (Kien Giang).
