HCM City announces company hotline

The HCM City's People's Committee has set up a hotline 0838211230 to help solve problems that companies face working with banks.

In a meeting with city authorities and banks late last week, companies said that they had faced problems when borrowing money from banks, including interest rates and mortgages.

Crime declines thanks to cameras

Go Vap District in HCM City has announced that crime in the first half of the year has strongly declined thanks to camera installations.

During the time, the volume of crimes fell by five cases; robbery cases fell by 35 cases to 92; and the number of successful crime investigations reached 60 per cent.

Cameras were installed in the district in 2013. Nearly 1,300 cameras have been installed in 47 land sites, 29 roads and 40 households that lease rooms.

Ca Mau builds houses for 3,160 families

The southernmost province of Ca Mau since 2010 has built 3,160 new houses and upgraded 834 others to help families under the Government's preferential treatment policy.

Currently, the province has nearly 5,400 families whose members have contributed to the country's revolution. To help them have stable accommodations, the province needs VND184 billion (US$8.4 million). Initially, it spent funds from its own budget to help families in need.
