Rainfall of between five and 20mm in the central province of Ninh Thuan has helped lower temperatures and forest-fire risk in the south-central province.
Some areas in the province have suffered drought for about two years.
Last Tuesday, the province declared a state of emergency after the most severe drought in two decades.
The protracted drought affected more than 41,900 people of 8,612 households, damaging 501 hectares of the winter-spring crops and killing more than 900 goats and cows in the province.

Transport firm drivers need health checks
HCM City's Department of Transport has ordered transport firms in the city to organise health checks of drivers before employing them.
According to the department, the drivers should have regular health check-ups and tests for drug to ensure quality of drivers to ensure road traffic safety.

Quang Binh to organise cave festival
The central province of Quang Binh has announced that it will host the Quang Binh Cave Festival 2015 from July 15-21, which will include a wide range of cultural activities to honour the province's natural beauty and its many caves.
The opening ceremony will include a performance titled "Quang Binh – The Kingdom of Caves".
The festival will also include a fair showcasing many kinds of specialties of the province, according to the organiser.
