The Department of Science and Technology of Ha Tinh Province has started construction of a project that will raise the capacity of the centre for science technology application.
Covering an area of 3.86ha, the project has investment capital of more than VND98 billion, and includes a workshop, net house, glass house, laboratory field, and laboratory house.
The project is expected to begin operations in November next year.

Essential food prices up in HCM City
Prices of several kinds of consumption goods are rising. A retailer at Vo Thanh Trang market in HCM City's Tan Binh District said a set of four Milo milk cartons has increased from VND25,000 to VND26,000, and several other kinds of milk items increased from VND500 to VND1,000 a set.
Similarly, the price of fish sauce increased by VND1,000 per litre.
At many other markets, retailers said they had received notices about the price increase of milk cartons and cosmetics. The number of purchases had also reduced.

City sets illiteracy removal targets
HCM City's Department of Education and Training has set targets for the city's task on eradicating illiteracy, a conference heard on Tuesday.
The city's target this year is eradicating illiteracy for 2,551 people aged 15 to 35, and 6,000 people aged 35 to 60, and helping another 15,000 people to follow education courses after becoming literate.
The city also set a target to teach 21,815 people aged 15 to 60 to read and write.

HCM City, Lam Dong ink ‘clean' pact
Lam Dong Province's Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has signed an agreement to cooperate in managing ‘clean' agricultural products in a distribution chain during the 2015-2020 period.
HCM City on its part will help bring Lam Dong's agricultural products to its supermarkets and wholesale markets. Lam Dong in turn will supply a distribution chain of clean, safe agricultural, forestry and aquatic products.
