The Central Highlands province of Lam Dong inaugurated its new administrative centre on Thursday.
The building cost more than VND1 trillion (US$46 million), which was higher than the initial estimate of VND495 billion ($22.8 million) five years ago when construction began.
The centre located in Da Lat City has 56,171sq.m of space and houses 49 departments and agencies.

Vinatex builds garment factory in Bac Lieu
The Viet Nam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) on Wednesday began construction of a garment factory with an annual capacity of five million pieces at the Tra Kha Industrial Park in the Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta province of Bac Lieu.
The VND50 billion ($2.3 million) plant, scheduled to operate in six months' time, will generate exports of US$20-30 million per year. It will need over 2,000 workers.

Dong Nai exports to rise by 10%
According to the Dong Nai Department of Industrial and Trade, exports are expected to top US$1.1 billion this month, a rise of 9.8 per cent over the previous month and 10.1 per cent over the same period last year.
Exports in the first four months of this year are expected to reach US$4.2 billion, a rise of 7.1 per cent year-on-year.
Exports of footwear are expected to rise by 16.1 per cent, garment and textile by 14.7 per cent, and computers and electronics by 12 per cent.
