The south-central province of Phu Yen has allocated VND4.8 billion (US$228,000) from its budget to support 336 local households to build or upgrade homes to protect them from floods and storms in 2015.
Depending on their location, each household will receive between VND12 million ($570) and VND16 million ($760).

Ha Noi plans industrial production growth
Ha Noi will re-structure its industries in order to reach an industrial production growth rate of 4.5-5 per cent in 2015.
To reach the goal, the city will encourage a number of industries, including those with a high competitive advantage; supporting industries; high-tech industries; industries supporting agriculture and the rural economy.
Last year, the city's industrial production growth rate was 4.6 per cent. The national figure was 7.6 per cent; HCM City's rate was 7 per cent.

Food-hygiene violations uncovered
The Market Watch Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in 2014 discovered and fined more than 59,000 violations of food hygiene regulations, at a total cost of VND121 billion ($5.7 million).
The figures were up by more than 1,280 cases and VND15 billion ($714,000), respectively, in comparison with 2013, it said.
The department said most of the violations were related to labeling and the freshness of food.

Free wifi at book, flower streets in HCM City
Free wifi services will be provided at the book and flower streets in HCM City during the Lunar New Year 2015, according to the Sai Gon Posts and Telecommunication Service Corporation (SPT).
SPT said they had installed equipment to support free wifi areas surrounding Ham Nghi Flower Street, Tao Dan Park, September 23 Park, Gia Dinh Park, Le Van Tam Park and flower streets in Phu My Hung Urban Area.
The service will be available from February 8.
