Nam Dinh industrial park plans scrapped

The prime minister has decided to eliminate two industrial parks in Nam Dinh Province from a national master plan.

They are the Nghia An and Thanh An IPs.

He also approved an increase in the area of the Bao Minh IP from 150ha to 155ha and inclusion of the 600ha Rang Dong Textile and Garment IP in the industrial parks master plan.

The province has nine industrial parks.

City boulevard to reopen before Tet

HCM City authorities have called on the Urban Traffic Management Unit No 1 to complete the upgrade of Nguyen Hue Boulevard before February 10 next year, or more than a week before the Lunar New Year.

After the upgrade is complete, Nguyen Hue along with Dong Khoi and Le Loi streets will become pedestrians-only during certain hours.

Night flights to Pleiku suspended next month

Ha Noi-Pleiku and HCM City-Pleiku flights will only operate during the day next month since the navigation lights system at Pleiku Airport will be switched off for upgrading the runway through December.

Vietnam Airlines is now informing passengers about the schedule change.

The airline operates eight of these flights daily, three of them at night.

Tet train fares to be slashed by 17 per cent

The Railways plans to cut fares by up to 17 per cent during Tet next year.

Phung Thi Ly Ha, head of the Ha Noi Station, also said that from December 1 fares on the Ha Noi-Lao Cai route would be decreased by 3-25 per cent (excluding holidays).
