The Ministry of Transport has adjusted the speed limit on the HCM City-Trung Luong Expressway to 60 to 100 kilometres per hour. The expressway was originally designed with the maximum speed limit of 120 kilometres per hour. The previous speed limit was a minimum of 50 km and a maximum of 120 km per hour.
Pham Quang Vinh, deputy head of the Directorate for Roads of Viet Nam, said that road signs would be changed in the next few days.

Noi Bai- Lao Cai route to open this month
The Noi Bai- Lao Cai Highway will open to traffic on September 21, according to the Viet Nam Expressway Corporation.
The 245-kilometre highway is expected to shorten the travelling time from Ha Noi City to Lao Cai Province from seven hours to three hours and a half.
It will also reduce congestion on national highways 2, 2B, 32C, 4E and 70.
The highway is part of a co-operation programme between six countries in the Mekong Sub-region: Viet Nam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar and China.

VN conservationists head to S. Africa
A delegation of Vietnamese celebrities, journalists, customs officials and wildlife conservationists on Monday travelled to South Africa to learn about illegal pouching and consumption of rhino horns.
This is the second time Education for Nature-Vietnam and the Rhinose Foundation have organised fact-finding trips. The aim is to reduce consumption of rhino horn in Viet Nam.
