Airline pushes for Long Thanh airport

Update: September, 03/2014 - 08:57
The Viet Nam Airlines Corporation has recommended that the Long Thanh International Airport be built. It has sent its letter to the National Assessment Committee. Its report shows that Tan Son Nhat International Airport is overloaded as it was designed to serve 20 million passengers annually.

By next year, there will be around 24 million passengers arriving at the airport. Expansion of Tan Son Nhat would be expensive and impractical because it is located very near the centre of HCM City.
