The Quang Ngai Province People's Committee has approved construction of an 8.7km road to Dung Quat Port at a cost of VND1.5 trillion (US$71.43 million).
The road, expected to be completed in 2018, starts on National Highway 1A and end at Binh Long street at Dung Quat port.

Steel retail prices up on demand, transport
Steel retail prices have increased by VND100,000 ($4.7) per tonne since early April due to signs of improvement in demand and sharp rise in transport costs.
Rolled steel now costs VND14.9-15.1 million ($710-720) per tonne and steel bars, VND15-15.1 million ($715-720).
This is for the second time this year that retail prices have been hiked though producers have maintained their prices since March last year.

21,500 businesses shut down in Q1
The Ministry of Planning and Investment's National Business Registration Department reported that nearly 21,500 businesses shut down in January-April, 9.4 per cent higher than a year ago.
Of them 4,725 reported to the department that they were temporarily ceasing operations, nearly 3,300 said they would close indefinitely, while the rest closed down without informing the department.
