Lam Dong and Nghe An provinces have signed an agreement to develop tourist projects the 2014-18 period. Both provinces will co-operate in investment promotion and share experience in management.
Nghe An is famous for its beautiful beaches and spiritual culture. Last year, it attracted 4.5 million visitors while Lam Dong, located in the Central Highlands (Tay Nguyen) region, had 4.5 million.

Bac Lieu supports young talent
The southern province of Bac Lieu has launched a long-term programme to encourage young talents to work in remote areas.
Under the province's programme this year, student graduates in key majors such as education, healthcare, science and technology will receive financial support from local authorities to develop their careers. They will also benefit from preferential policies on salaries, social insurance and rentals.

Khau Vai love market to open next week
The Khau Vai Love Market Festival will kick off on April 24 in Meo Vac District in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang.
The three-day event is organised by the Viet Nam Youth Federation, in co-operation with its partner, Ha Giang Youth Union. It will feature traditional music and dance performances staged by ethnic minority locals, traditional games and ox fights.

Ninh Thuan's poor receive assistance
The central province of Ninh Thuan will provide VND6.5 billion (US$309,000) from the central government to 500 poor and minority households. The money will be used for cultivation, land and house construction, and clean water supply.

Phu Quoc fish sauce production declines
The production of nuoc mam (fish sauce) in Phu Quoc District in Kien Giang Province totaled 4 million litres in the first quarter of this year, a decrease of 30 per cent compared to the same period last year, according to the Phu Quoc Fish Sauce Association.
Nguyen Thi Tinh, chairwoman of the association, said the district has 75 fish sauce producers.
