More than 2,800 disadvantaged students from 16 schools in the poorest districts of Gio Linh, Vinh Linh, Huong Phung, Lao Bao and Con Tien will receive 212 tonnes of rice this month, thanks to the People's Committee of the central province of Quang Tri.
Each student will receive 15 kilos of rice per month. Local authorities said they wanted to help students continue their studies.

VN firms invest in northeast Cambodia
The remote province of Gia Lai's Department of Investment and Planning recently issued investment certificates for seven domestic companies to invest in northeast Cambodia.
The investors' projects cost US$500 million, mostly for rubber cultivation and processing.

The event aims to offer job consulting, university enrolment and vocational training information.

HCM City-Dong Nai rail link by 2020
The Ministry of Transport has agreed to develop the HCMC-Dong Nai railway route before 2020 as an important boost for regional transport.
The US$500 million route will run from HCM City to Trang Bom Town via Di An Town in Binh Duong Province.
