The HCM City Power Corporation and the city's Industry and Trade Department on Monday opened an information centre at 1 Phan Dang Luu Street in Binh Thanh District.
The centre will offer advice to the public on how to save electricity and use power sources wisely. Energy-saving tools will be displayed at regular fairs organised by the centre.

Khanh Hoa hosts trade fair
More than 150 enterprises in the Central Highlands and the south-central coastal region are displaying their products at 400 booths at a trade fair.
The fair opened on Monday in Khanh Hoa Province's Nha Trang City. The week-long event is being held by the provincial Industry and Trade Department to promote local businesses.

Da Nang to build wharf for yachts
Central Da Nang City has approved a project for DHC Investment Company to build a wharf on the Han River to receive yachts.
The project will cost VND123 billion (US$5.9 million) and begin operation by the end of next month.

Students learn to protect wild animals
Wildlife protection lessons will be taught at junior high schools in HCM City this academic year under a programme launched by the city's Department of Education and Training along Wildlife At Risk (WAR).
Besides photos and documentaries, students will see several short videos featuring Viet Nam's rare and wild animals. The programme will begin at 15 junior high schools in Binh Thanh District this month.
