The central province of Thanh Hoa will seek funds from local and foreign investors for its economic zones and industrial parks from now to 2020, according to the provincial government.
New preferential rates for land taxes and enterprise income taxes will be offered to investors, according to Trinh Van Chien, chairman of the province's People's Committee.
This year, Thanh Hoa has attracted 18 investment projects from foreign investors, with the total capital signed at over US$12.2 billion.

Visitors to An Giang jumps 7.2 per cent
The number of visitors to the Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta province of An Giang increased 7.2 per cent year-on-year, reaching around 5.2 million tourists, according to the local government.
The number of foreign visitors was 38,000, an increase of 2 per cent year-on-year. Total revenue from tourism has reached VND204 billion (over US$10 million).

Volunteer Award 2013 slated for November
The Volunteer Award 2013 event will be held on November 8 by the HCM City Communist Youth Union in co-operation with the UN's Volunteers Programme.
The award will honour outstanding voluntary organisations and individuals who have made contributions to charities.
