City helps former prostitutes reintegrate
More than 100 former prostitutes in HCM City have been given free vocational training and stable jobs in the last two years, the city Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs said on Monday.
Fifty seven former sex workers also received loans to do business, it said.
The department plans to provide vocational training and loans to former prostitutes who are not permanent residents of the city.

Workers given bus tickets home for Tet
The HCM City Federation of Labour on Monday kicked off plans to help workers enjoy a happy Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday early next year.
A total of 6,000 bus tickets will be handed out to workers at industrial parks and export processing zones planning to go home for Tet. Gifts will be given to more than 1,500 workers staying back in the city.
