HCM City will organise three trade promotions in Myanmar from June 5-10. They include a HCM City Expo 2013 in Yangon City; an investment-trade and tourism-promotion conference; and a programme about the Myanmar market.
During the event, Vietnamese companies will have an opportunity to advertise products and seek partners as well as expand distribution channels in Myanmar.

Water shortage continues in central province
Residents in Dak Lak Province's Buon Ma Thuot City have lacked sufficient water since December. Tran Van Thien, head of the Dak Lak Water Supply and Construction Investment Company, said that more than 52,000 cubic metres were needed. The use of wells to water coffee plants have seriously affected underground-water levels. The province said it expected to have enough water for residents by the end of June.

Students help visiting test takers
More than 15,000 students in HCM City last Sunday gathered at the Youth Culture House for the annual programme to assist candidates from provinces who travel to the city to take university and college entrance exams.
Students will be helped at bus and train stations and given free or lower-priced accommodations. In the 2013 Exam Season Assistance Programme, 40,000 accommodations, 60,000 free bus tickets and 30,000 bus-route maps and 200,000 city maps will be given to candidates. The programme is being carried out by the HCM City Communist Youth Union in co-operation with the HCM City Student Assistance Centre and Student Association.
