VN-Australia trade is worth $5 billion

Trade between Viet Nam and Australia topped $5 billion last year, a year-on-year increase of more than 20 per cent.

As of last month, Australia had 111 projects in HCM City with a total capital of $157.2 million.

Binh Duong tops FDI list with $17.8 billion

Last year the southern province of Binh Duong topped the FDI list with $17.8 billion pledged in 2,156 projects.

Le Thanh Cung, chairman of the province People's Committee, attributed the achievement to good marketing by officials and through many campaigns.

Airline begins Nha Trang-Moscow flights

Vietnam Airlines will launch direct flights between Cam Ranh and Moscow on April 5.

The airline will operate Boeing 777s on the weekly flight.

It will become twice-weekly from October.

Russian tourists arrive in droves

Russian tourist arrivals this month grew by 80.3 per cent year-on-year even as arrivals from other markets increased just slightly or even decreased.

There were nearly 587,400 visitors in March, up 1.6 per cent over the same period last year, of whom more than 30,600 were from Russia.
