The Saigon Railway Passenger Transport Company will operate extra trains between HCM City and Nha Trang to meet the increased demand during the Hung Kings death anniversary (April 19), Liberation Day (April 30) and Labour Day (May 1) holidays.
In addition to the normal two trains daily, there will be four during the Hung Kings death anniversary, six on April 26, and three on April 27.
There will be five on April 30 and three on May 1.

Domestic salt production grows 18% annually
Salt production this year has been at 253,596 tonnes, up 18 per cent year-on-year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The sector faced difficulties in January and February due to unfavourable weather conditions, but the weather has improved this month. Salt farmers have started the new season by harvesting more than 14,200ha.

Speed cameras installed in City river tunnel
Speed guns and cameras are being installed in the Thu Thiem Tunnel under the Sai Gon River in HCM City, according to Tran Quang Lam, director of the Sai Gon River Tunnel Management Centre.
They will transmit images and information about cars travelling at less than 30km and more than 60km per hour to traffic police stationed at both ends.
Installation of the devices, to cost more than VND14 billion (US$667,000), will be completed in early May.

AIP gifts motorbike helmets to school children
The Asian Injury Prevention Foundation along with HCM City's Traffic Safety Committee and Department of Education and Training handed out free helmets to 500 school children at a festival organised at Dam Sen Park on Sunday.
It is aimed at encouraging school children to wear helmets while travelling by motorbike.
The helmets cost VND85million (US$4,050) in all.
