Ha Noi targets housing for 4,000 residents

Ha Noi City's Department of Planning and Architecture and Ha Dong District authorities have created a detailed zoning plan to develop a housing project in Ha Dong District's Kien Hung Ward. Constructed on a total area of 55,485 square metres, the development will house around 4,000 residents.

Can Tho spends $9.6m on social welfare

The southern city of Can Tho spent more than VND200 billion ($9.6 million) on social welfare in 2012.

Of this amount, VND81 billion ($3.9 million) was spent on needy people, nearly VND3.2 billion ($153,695) went to providing insurance for children under six years old and more than VND100 billion ($4.8 million) was spent on building and renovating houses for people who contributed to the country as well as those living in poverty.

Free bus tickets for 2600 poor workers

The Kinh Do Ltd Company, in collaboration with the HCM City Youth Union, will offer 2,600 bus tickets worth VND1.3 billion ($62,438) to poor workers in Ha Noi, HCM City and Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Hai Duong and Hung Yen provinces to return home for the 2013 Tet (Lunar New Year) celebration.
