The Ha Noi People's Committee has unveiled a plan to develop 53 projects that will build 14,054 resettlement apartments by 2015.
Of these, 15 projects comprising 1,862 apartments will be completed by the end of this year and the remaining 38 projects with 12,192 apartments will be completed by 2015.
Under the plan, Ha Noi will also develop 66 infrastructure projects in the resettlement areas, of which 14 will be completed this year and the rest by 2015.

Province revokes licence for new urban area
The People's Committee of central Phu Yen Province has revoked the investment license issued for the Le Uyen New Urban Area project in Xuan Yen Ward, Song Cau Town. The project investor, Thanh Vinh Minerals Ltd Co, has delayed project implementation for too long time and failed to show adequate financial capacity, officials in the central province said.

Traffic accidents down 28.4% in eight months
According to figures released by the National Assembly Standing Committee, 20,594 road accidents occurred nation-wide in the first eight months, killing 5,897 people and injuring 22,082. The number of traffic accidents dropped by 28.4 per cent, deaths by 8.7 per cent and injuries by 30.1 per cent over the corresponding period last year, the committee said.

Total import, export value climbs by 13%
The General Department of Customs says the country's total import-export value reached US$148.05 billion in the first eight months, an increase of 13 per cent over the same period last year. Of this figure, exports accounted for $74.09 billion, an increase of 19 per cent, while imports rose by 7.5 per cent to $73.96 billion.
