Da Nang fights widespread land violations

District administrations continue to violate land-related regulations, the People's Committee of central Da Nang City admitted at a conference to appraise land use and management in the city.

Illegal construction, including on agricultural land, has been widespread, it said.

The city government is set to cancel land allocation and use certificates that do not dovetail with the city's zoning plans.

Binh Phuoc calls for investors in tourism projects

Southern Binh Phuoc Province organised a conference last Friday to solicit investment in six proposed tourism-related projects.

They include a telpher system at the Ba Ra-Thac Mo eco-tourism zone, the My Le eco-tourism zone, and preservation of the S'tieng culture.

The event was organised on the sidelines of the International Tourism Exhibition in HCM City.

Vietnamese goods on show in Tay Ninh

Thirty three HCM City-based firms and artisans from the Tra Vinh specialty club are displaying their products at a trade fair titled "Bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas" that opened last Saturday in southern Tay Ninh Province's Duong Minh Chau District.

The three-day fair showcases products like food, confectionery, textiles, household utensils, cosmetics, and stationery and Tra Vinh specialty foods like nuoc mam ruoi (clam worm sauce) and palm sugar.

It also featured other activities like giving gifts to poor people and needy students, consumer counselling, and training in sales skills for small traders operating in traditional markets.

The exhibition is being organised by the HCM City-based Business Study and Assistance Center and Tay Ninh authorities.
