More than 300 photos, documents and objects that reflect the traditional friendship, combat solidarity, and comprehensive co-operation between Viet Nam and Laos are on display at the "Nghia Tinh Viet-Lao" exhibition that opened at Ha Noi's Viet Nam Military History Museum on Wednesday.
The exhibition is among several activities that will mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries and the Viet Nam-Laos Friendship and Solidarity Year this year.
It will go on until September 15.

VN Airlines offers discounts galore
Vietnam Airlines is offering discounts of up to 50 per cent on 300,000 tickets on domestic and international routes as part of its Autumn Promotion.
One-way tickets on several domestic routes will be sold for VND550,000-VND990,000, while round-trip fares to Southeast Asia and Europe will start at VND815,000 to VND8.3 million respectively.
The programme is open to buyers in Viet Nam from August 15 to 31 for flights between September 5 and December 20 and March 5 and May 20 next year, excluding peak days and holidays.

Lam Dong fines six petrol retailers
Twenty-seven out of 56 petrol retailers inspected in Lam Dong Province were found flouting regulations, according to the provincial Department of Standards, Measurements and Quality.
The common offences included using incorrect meters and untrained staff.
Six of them were fined a total of VND38.4 million (US$1,840).

Da Nang plans housing for workers
The Da Nang People's Committee has approved a project to build houses for workers and low-income earners in industrial parks.
The city will build nine-storey apartment blocks in the Hoa Khanh Industrial Zone, Hoa Hiep 4 Resettlement Area, Hoa Cam Industrial Park, and other locations in 2012-15.
