Women forced to work in dodgy parlours

A gang forcing indebted women to work for karaoke and massage parlours has been busted in the southern province of Tay Ninh, according to the local police.

They said they raided five karaoke parlours and six guesthouses in Bu Dop District in neighbouring Binh Phuoc Province, rescuing six women and arresting Le Thanh Phuc and his wife Nguyen Thi Minh Ly.

Phuc and Ly have been charged with giving loans to these women at very high interest rates and, when they could not repay, forcing them to work at karaoke and massage parlours.
