The Reverie Saigon hotel in HCM City organised a solemn welcome for the young national U23 team and their coach, Park Hang Seo, in the spirit of Vietnamese culture.
The staff at The Reverie Saigon made a Vietnamese flag from 1,500 red and yellow roses placed at the centre of the hotel lobby.
Though the Vietnamese team and their coach spent a brief time at the hotel, soaking in the warm welcome and interacting with fans, the atmosphere was friendly. Every detail, though simple, upheld the Vietnamese identity, which reflected the joy and pride that the citizens of HCM city felt for Park and the U23 team.

The staff of The Reverie Saigon had red flags and gold stars pinned to their chests. Representative of the hotel,Truong Hue Van,and a few children, wore the traditional ao dai.The children held colorful drawings. Together, they gifted a Vietnamese conical hat to the South Korean coach.

The Vietnamese team may not have won the 2018 Asian Football Confederation U23 Championship, but they won the heart of the nation with their exceptional performance throughout the championship and inspired the young generation.
Now that the tournament is over, the top concern is the health of the players. After making everyone proud, the young players will now revel in the luxurious service of The Reverie Saigon hotel, which is ranked No.1 in Asia and No.4 in the world in Condé Nast Traveller’s Readers’ Choice Awards.
Welcoming the U23 Team to the city, Saigon Times Square building, which houses The Reverie Saigon and is a symbol of the city on Nguyen Hue Boulevard,will be lit up in red colour in the design of the national flag for the duration of the team’s stay here.
Saigon Times Square is currently the most beautiful building in the city, offering a panoramic view of Saigon’s distinctive landmarks.
As part of the welcoming event, The Reverie Saigon will join hands with HCM City People’s Committee and Department of Culture and Information to organise the Gala Entertainmentfor the U23 team.
As a token of appreciation for the young squad, a group of companies, including Van Thinh Phat Investment Group, Times Square Vietnam Investment Group and An Dong Investment Group, directly awarded the players 38 prizes and VND3.8 billion in cash. The gifts were spiritual in nature and would be of great value to all members who have contributed to the development of the team.
