Vietnamese property developer, BIM Group, has planned to develop its Halong Marina into a regional tourism, economic and recreation hub.
Three years ago, Halong Marina was largely known as one of the modern and large-scale tourism areas in the northern tourism city of Hạ Long. Recognising its significant potential, given its advantageous location and landscape, in the process of development, the developer decided to upgrade the planning of Halong Marina from simply an ideal urban area for living, working and enjoying, to a super modern, all-in-one urban area in Hạ Long City in particular and Quảng Ninh Province in general.
Located in the gateway to Hạ Long City, Halong Marina covers an area of 248ha along a 3.8km-long coastline of Hạ Long Bay. Rarely do any urban areas own such a perfect location, with a charming sea view looking into the World Natural Wonder of Hạ Long Bay and leaning onto the Hùng Thắng mountains.
Halong Marina, developed to be the heart of the Bãi Cháy tourism area - a “small city”, meets all the demands of residents and tourists at the most convenience.
Initially, it was planned as a modern urban complex, which was ideal for living, working and enjoying, with component projects such as Green Bay apartment buildings, Coral Townhouses, Halong Marina Plaza shop houses and Little Vietnam shop houses, as well as Lotus Residences, a Green Bay Village gated-community, Halong Marine Plaza and a CGV cinema, in addition to a T-club recreation area for youngsters, tiNi World playing zone for kids and the Marina Bay Beach.
According to BIM Group, Halong Marina has significant untapped potential. Thus, the developer decided to develop it into a golden destination of not only Việt Nam but also the Southeast Asian region.
It will be a modern and vibrant all-in-one coastal urban area, which combines perfectly the nature of a tourism hub, economic hub and recreation hub along the coastline of Hạ Long Bay, the developer said.
There will be three zones, a residential zone in the north of Hoàng Quốc Việt Street, a trade and services zone in the south of Hoàng Quốc Việt Street and a zone for resorts, hotels and trade centres in the east and the west.
BIM Group said it will enhance cooperation with the leading names in tourism and hospitality management, including InterContinental Hotels Group Plc and The Ascott Limited, to bring in world-class development.
New component projects would be developed, such as a wharf, a 1km-long beach and international-standard resorts to bring a new face to Halong Marina.
An immense Marine Time Square will be completed by 2020, which promises to be a place for walking, organising festivals and meetings and will attract thousands of tourists. Marina Beach Club will be an area for clubs, bars and restaurants in the most prime location of the urban zone where one can enjoy music or the view.
An international standard resort zone will also be completed by 2020, which is expected to contribute to boosting the city’s tourism, besides a 40-storey Art La Carte Halong with a wonderful view of Hạ Long Bay.
Another flagship project of BIM Group is Phu Quoc Marina, which is being developed into a tourism complex in Phú Quốc Island, Kiên Giang Province.
Phu Quoc Marina and Halong Marina represent the continuous efforts of the developer in contributing to boost the Việt Nam real estate market.
