HÀ NỘI — Facebook Messenger users can now book taxis by using the social network.

The service launched by Thành Công Taxi on Tuesday is the first of its kind in Việt Nam, allowing people to hail a cab from the company without having to download and use a taxi-hailing app.

Nguyễn Khương Duy, representative of Thành Công Taxi, said that Thành Công Taxi was a pionner in Việt Nam using the latest Chatbot technology of Facebook to develop the service.

Thành Công company takes advantage of the Facebook Messenger application installed in mobile phones of some 40 million Vietnamese people to offer services to customers in the traditional to luxury segments.

Besides requesting a ride, people can easily leave their comments by chatting via the messenger, Duy said. — VNS
