HA NOI - DHL Express, the world’s leading international express services provider, on Sunday hosted a special appreciation event for over 200 of its business partners, thanking them for their trust in DHL over the past years.

Gracing the event were two of Manchester United Football Club legends – David May and Denis Irwin, as part of the DHL Legendary Moments.

Attendees to the closed-door event were given the opportunity for a Q&A session and photo taking opportunity with both legends.

“People in Việt Nam eat, sleep and breathe football. They love the sport so much that many can tell you the final score of every football match in Europe. Like other Asians, a Vietnamese hardly expresses his or her feelings publicly, but for the Premier League, it is an exception. DHL has been the Official Logistics Partner for Manchester United Football Club since 2011, and we have played a key role in supporting the Club’s tours, helping to deliver success on and off the pitch,” said Miarul Haque, Senior Director Commercial of DHL VNPT Express.

“Both Manchester United and DHL share the same values, such as being a worldwide brand and achieving success through a passion for excellence, innovation and teamwork. This makes us, the world’s leading logistics company, proud to be the Official Logistics Partner of the world’s greatest football club.”

Denis Irwin, the former footballer from Ireland who played as a full-back at Manchester United, commented, “Việt Nam is a football driven nation and our Vietnamese fans are some of the club’s most passionate and loyal supporters. We always receive a warm welcome and great response to any of our events hosted in the country. DHL Legendary Moments is our opportunity to thank our fans for their love to the club by bringing a small piece of the excitement and atmosphere of Old Trafford to their home city.” – VNS
