Korean firm opens second Vĩnh Phúc plant

Bang Joo Electronics, an affiliate of South Korean Bang Joo Group, opened its second camera manufacturing plant in the northern province of Vĩnh Phúc on Thursday, vietnamplus.vn reported.

VĨNH PHÚC- Bang Joo Electronics, an affiliate of South Korean Bang Joo Group, opened its second camera manufacturing plant in the northern province of Vĩnh Phúc on Thursday, vietnamplus.vn reported.

Capitalised at US$30 million, the new plant is spread over more than 5.3ha in the Bá Thiện Industrial Zone (IZ). The company’s first plant, valued at $40 million, started operations in 2014.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, provincial People’s Committee chairman Nguyễn Văn Trì encouraged the Korean enterprise to further expand its operation in the localityto US$70 million.

In the first nine months of this year, 12 projects, based in Vĩnh Phúc’s IZs, began operation, lifting number of operational projects total up to 160, according to the provincial IZs Management Board. –VNS
