HA NOI (VNS)- Viet Nam beat South Korea's Hyundai Mipo Dolphin Club 2-1 in a friendly match at Hang Day Stadium yesterday.

With the support of the home fans, the hosts controlled the game from the first whistle.

Viet Nam took the lead via a Quoc Anh goal in the 16th minute. However, it took the visitors just three minutes to respond, with Lee Jae-won netting the equaliser.

Viet Nam should have added to their tally before half time but were unable to make their dominance count.

After the break, they looked re-energised and took the game to their opponents. Their positivity was rewarded by a goal in the 70th minute courtesy of the recently capped Mac Hong Quan.

The match ended 2-1 and provided Viet Nam with a good final test before they meet the United Arab Emirates at the My Dinh National Stadium in the qualifying round of the Asian Cup 2015 on February 6.

The latest victory caps off a rewarding series of friendlies for Viet Nam, who previously beat Vicem Hai Phong 2-0 and former V-League champions Ha Noi T&T 2-1. — VNS
