Archers rank second in regional competition

HA NOI (VNS)– Viet Nam took second place in the fifth Southeast Asian (SEA) Archery Championships, which wrapped up in Wunnatheiddhi Archery Court in Zabuthiri township in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar yesterday.

The team bagged four gold, five silver and six bronze medals to rank second behind the hosts Myanmar, who had nine golds, four silvers and three bronzes. Third place went to Malaysia with three golds, four silvers and one bronze.

The event, which offered a chance for teams to hone their skills in preparation for the upcoming SEA Games in Myanmar, attracted the participation of six teams from around the region. – VNS
