VN face Uzbekistan in Asian U19 football opener

Viet Nam will face Uzbekistan in its first Group C match at the Asian Football Confederation's Under-19 Football Championship in the United Arab Emirates on November 4.

It will be a very tough match for the young Vietnamese young players who were beaten 4-0 by their opponents two months ago at a competition in HCM City.

Viet Nam, led by coach Mai Duc Chung, will next play North Korea on November 6 and take on Jordan in the last match of the group stage two days later.

The two top teams of the group will advance into the semi-finals.

The team arrived in Qatar on Friday for a training session ahead of the tournament. — VNS
