Futsal squad finish second after defeating Kuwait
Viet Nam finished second at an international friendly futsal tournament in HCM City after coming from behind to beat Kuwait 4-2 on Saturday at Tan Binh Gymnasium.
Kuwait, who have qualified for the FIFA Futsal World Cup in Thailand in November, took the lead with two goals in the second half. In the remaining minutes, the guests made some changes that had an adverse effect on their flow, and the Vietnamese players took full advantage to score four.
With this win, the hosts finished on a total of three points and secured second place. Kuwait were in third with two points.
Earlier, Italy beat Uzbekistan 6-0 to claim the title with six points.-VNS
