Singapore draw with Thailand at international U21 event

Singapore played out a goalless draw with Thailand in the second match in Group A at Thanh Nien (Youth) newspaper's International U21 Football Championships at Pleiku Stadium in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai on Monday.

In the opening game, Singapore lost to hosts Viet Nam 6-1.

In Group B, Sydney FC defeated Laos 2-1.

Today, Viet Nam will face Thailand in the last Group A match, while Sydney FC meet Malaysia who defeated their Lao rivals 4-2.

The tournament has attracted Singapore, Thailand, and the hosts Viet Nam in Group A, and Malaysia, Laos, and Sydney FC from Australia in Group B.-VNS
