Viet Nam nab two silvers at regional table tennis event

HA NOI – (VNS) Viet Nam won two silvers and six bronzes at the Southeast Asian Table Tennis Championships which wrapped up on Monday in Vientiane, Laos.

The silver medal went to Dinh Quang Linh in the men's singles. Another medal went to Linh and My Trang in the mixed doubles.

Singapore ended up topping the eight-nation event with five gold, two silver and two bronze medals.

In the tournament two years ago in the Philippines, Viet Nam took the lead after bringing home five gold, two silver and three bronze medals.

In the previous events in 2004 and 2008, Viet Nam regularly earned three gold medals.-VNS
