Cyclist wins gold medal in Asian Mountain Bike women's downhill

Vietnamese cyclist Ha Thi Nga won a gold medal in the women's junior 15km downhill race at the Asian Mountain Bike Championships in Lebanon on Sunday.

Her teammate Nguyen Thi Ngoc Huyen brought home a silver.

Another Vietnamese athlete – Dinh Thi Nhu Quynh – also scored a success in the tournament by bagging a bronze medal in the women's junior 25km downhill race.

Coach Tran Van Quyt said that this was the best result for Vietnamese mountain biking at international level in recent years.-VNS
