U21 football final kicks off

Eight teams are taking part in the final round of the U21 Thanh Nien (Young People) football tournament in Phan Rang City, Ninh Thuan Province, which kicked off yesterday.

Group A comprises of the hosts, Song Lam Nghe An, SHB Da Nang and Dong Thap Rubber. Group B includes defending champions Nam Dinh, Quang Ninh Coal, Dong Tam Long An and Khanh Hoa.

The best footballer of the tournament will receive VND15 million (US$720) from the organising board along with VND200 million ($9,600) from Techcombank. The winning team will receive VND250 million ($11,990).

The tourney starts with Dong Thap versus SHB Da Nang and Ninh Thuan against Song Lam Nghe An in Group A. It will end next Friday.-VNS
