Athletes focused for nationals

Vietnamese athletes are in training for national and international tournaments, including the national athletics tournament at Ha Noi-based My Dinh National Stadium next Thursday.

More than 400 competitors will participate in My Dinh, including runner Vu Thi Huong, high jumper Duong Thi Viet Anh and walker Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuc.

Also, the World Half Marathon Championships will be held in Bulgaria on October 6; jumpers will attend a one-month training course in Belarus and Bulgaria in November; mid- and long-distance runners will train in Kunming, China, for a month in November.-VNS
