Hoan takes defender Long's position on national squad
The Viet Nam Football Federation has bolstered the national squad ahead of its second gathering at the start of October, adding Song Lam Nghe An defender Au Van Hoan into the fold.
Hoan will assume Quoc Long's position in the team, after Long was dropped for his bad behaviour during the match between Ha Noi T&T and Sai Gon Xuan Thanh at the National Cup final.
Hoan is highly regarded for his physical strength and attacking ability, having previously impressed while playing for the national team at the 26th SEA Games in Indonesia in 2011. — VNS
