In-form Malaysia knocked off perch by strong VN show

Viet Nam ended Malaysia's 11-match unbeaten home record following a 2-0 victory in a friendly match on Tuesday at Shah Alam stadium.

Under little pressure, Viet Nam played well and controlled the game for most of the first half. Le Cong Vinh opened the scoring in the 33rd minute with a header before Phan Thanh Hung added a second goal in the 49th minute following some attractive attacking football by the visitors.

Viet Nam will be looking to continue their good form when they face off against Indonesia in another friendly match on Saturday.-VNS
