Sai Gon XT, Ha Noi T&T face off today in National Cup final

Sai Gon Xuan Thanh (SGXT) faced Ha Noi T&T in the National Cup 2012 final today at Thong Nhat Stadium, HCM City.

SGXT claimed an impressive 3-1 win over Song Lam Nghe An in the semifinal match at Vinh Stadium while Ha Noi T&T overcame V-League 2012 champions Da Nang 1-0 in the other semifinal match at home.

The final was a rematch of the encounter between two teams in the last round of V-League 2012 ten days ago in which the winning team was supposed to win the title, but neither team ended up winning the match so the title went to Da Nang.

This is a good chance for both teams to avoid ending the 2012 season empty-handed.

The winner will face Da Nang in the Super Cup match at the beginning of the 2013 season. — VNS
