Top tennis star to play exhibition match in HCM City

Victoria Azarenka, ranked world's number one tennis player, may play an exhibition match in HCM City during the Heineken Star tournament on September 20.

The Belarusian has also been invited to compete with other famous players at the Lan Anh Tennis Club.

Azarenka paired with Max Mirnyi to triumph at the mixed doubles event at the London Olympics. She also took home a bronze medal in the women's singles.

The 23-year-old withdrew from the Canadian Roger Cup early this month because of a knee injury. She also decided to skip the ongoing Cincinnati competition to focus on the US Open, which starts on August 27 in New York. — VNS
