Women's volleyball team beats China

Viet Nam's national volleyball team beat China's Jiangsu 25-14, 25-19, 25-18 at the VTV Cup international women's volleyball tournament on Wednesday in northern province of Vinh Phuc.

Although physically stronger, the Chinese players had difficulties in resisting the constant attacks launched by the host team. Vietnamese volleyballers took the lead in all three sets and quickly defeated their Chinese rivals.

Viet Nam took the top position in Group A with three wins. They will meet the second-placed team from Group B in the semi-finals today.

In the remaining match in Group A, Industrial Bank of Korea beat the Australian team 25-17, 25-15, 25-22 to finish second, and are set to compete against the top team from Group B.-VNS
