Cuong wins fourth stage of tour

Nguyen Van Cuong of Ha Noi claimed his first win in the Return to Truong Son cycling tournament after finishing first in the 149km fourth stage from Ha Tinh City to Dong Hoi City.

With 10km to go, Cuong took the lead and crossed the finish line in a time of 4:01.23. Mai Nguyen Hung of Eximbank HCM City finished second.

Hung retained the yellow jersey with an overall time of 13:47.59, followed by Ha Thanh Tam of An Giang Plant Protection and Nguyen Van Tai of Dong Thap Domesco Pharmacy.

In the team competition, An Giang Plant Protection continued their lead in the rankings in a time of 41:25.32. Eximbank HCM City and Dong Thap Domesco Pharmacy were second and third, respectively.

Cyclists will compete in the 82km fifth stage from Dong Hoi City to Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery in Quang Tri Province today.-VNS
