Ha Noi lead youth chess champs

Ha Noi retained their lead in the men's U20 group after the second round of the standard event at the National Youth Chess Championships in HCM City yesterday.

With two wins each, Nguyen Van Hai, Tran Tuan Minh and Tran Ngoc Lan lead the field.

In the women's U20 group, Doan Thi Van Anh of Bac Giang tops the table with two points, followed by Le Hoang Tran Chau of HCM City and Tran Thi Ha Minh of Da Nang.

Vu Phi Hung of Quang Ninh leads the rankings in the boys' U17 group while Nguyen Truong Bao Tran is leading in the girls' U17 group. — VNS
