Twelve teams to compete in Memorial Day cycling tour

Twelve men's teams will participate in the Return to Truong Son cycling tour from July 15-20.

They include HCM City, Ha Noi, Thanh Hoa and An Giang. Cyclists will compete in six stages through Ha Noi, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh and Quang Tri.

The individual winner will receive VND20 millon (US$960) in prize money, while the second and third placed riders will be awarded VND16 million ($765) and VND12 million ($575).

The winning team will take home VND30 million ($1,440), and the second and third placed will get VND22 million ($1,054) and VND15 million ($720),respectively

The tournament is held annually to celebrate Memorial Day for martyrs and war invalids on July 27 by Quan Doi Nhan Dan (People's Army) newspaper.-VNS
