Dung takes third stage of cycling tour

Cyclist Nguyen Thuy Dung won the third stage of the National Women's Open Cycling Tournament - An Giang Television Cup yesterday.

Dung of Binh Duong Environment, Water and Drainage finished first in the 101km stage from Cu Chi District of HCM City to Ben Tre City in a time of three hours 27seconds.

Her teammates Nguyen Phan Ngoc Trang and Nguyen Thi That from Vinh Binh Rice Mill were in second and third, respectively.

Thanks to this result, Dung temporarily took the yellow jersey after three stages with an overall time of 6:29.12, followed by That (6:29.19) and Nguyen Thi Thanh of Dong Thap Domesco Pharmacy (6:29.19).

Dong Thap Domesco Pharmacy retained their lead in the team competition with an overall time of 19:28.47.

Cyclists will pedal the 76km fourth stage from Ben Tre City to Vinh Long City today. — VNS
