Final round of U-17 to begin

The final round of the National U17 Football Championships, the Thai Son Nam Cup, will kick off on July 11-20 in Hue.

Eight teams will be divided into two groups who will compete in a round robin format with the top two teams from each group progressing to the semi-finals.

The winners will walk away with a cash prize of VND100 million (US$4,760), while the runners-up will receive VND60 ($2,900) and VND40 million ($1,900), respectively.

At last year's tournament, SHB Da Nang beat Hoang Anh Gia Lai 2-1 to claim the title for the second consecutive time.-VNS
