Viet Nam bag 27 golds at ASEAN school games

Viet Nam bagged 27 gold, 17 silver and 16 bronzes medals to be placed fourth at the ongoing ASEAN School Games themed "Spirit, Friendship and Excellence", in the Indonesian province of East Java.

Thailand have taken the lead with 38 gold, 28 silver and 46 bronze medals, followed by the hosts Indonesia with 33 golds, 33 silvers and 27 bronzes and Malaysia with 29 golds, 36 silvers and 33 bronzes.

The eight-day event, which sees the participation of nearly 1,400 athletes and officials in 11 events, will finish today.-VNS
