Futsal championships to attract top teams

The National Futsal Championships is expected to attract 18 teams from June 3-17 at the Tuyen Son Sport Complex in Da Nang City, the largest figure since 2007.

The winning team will receive VND30 million (US$1,400), the runner-up will pocket VND20 million ($960), and the two third- place teams will go home with VND15 million each ($720).

The organisers will also award prizes worth VND5 million ($240) to the best player, best goalkeeper and top scorer.

On the opening day in Group A, Thai Son Bac will meet Hong Lac while Kim Toan FC will face Tan Hiep Hung. In Group B, football fans will have a chance to see Sanatech Phu Yen play VLT Da Nang, and Dat Vinh Tien HCM City take on PVC Ha Noi. — VNS
